The vivid use of saturation separates Richard's images from those of his contemporaries, the powerful colours making all else seem anodyne, anemic and lacklustre, regardless of the subject. Boldness seeps out of the images, making the realities that they depict arrive at you as more true to life than what you see around you. In his latest collection, 'Stranger Than Fiction', Richard Heeps slips between that line of reality and fiction, taking what is there and then adding what is not in the trip from exposure to development.
